This is the full remodel of a 1936 Spanish-style home in Los Angeles. A small kitchen, breakfast room, and dining room were combined to create a large family kitchen that is open to the sunken living room. An enclosed back porch was transformed into a bedroom, accessible through a new library. The bathrooms were all remodeled in the original style of the house. The floors were refinished, and most of the windows were replaced to match originals.
The homeowners were passionate about retaining the original feel of this home. Together we created spaces that feel like 1936 but have the flow and amenities of a modern home.
